The companies that offer this type of work do so because they need a broad cross section of the public to enable them to provide a broad opinion base for their customers, the companies that are looking for feedback on their products and services. It is a pretty straightforward way to earn money but you have to know what companies are the best ones to work with.

Whilst doing paid surveys is a good way to start off you may want to find something a little more challenging, possibly something that you could build up into a business of your own. A flexible way to do this is by becoming a freelance typist from home. Freelancing is something not many people consider as they are worried that it is too complicated or they wouldn't know how to get started.
Freelancing just means that you work for lots of people rather then just one person or company. It can be difficult to find online typing jobs so being able to freelance means that you can get your own work rather than waiting for an appropriate job listing to appear. Getting freelance gigs is a lot easier now especially if you are working online, there are specialist freelance sites that you can join in order to bid on different freelance projects. You can contact sites directly or frequent online discussion forums and ask people if they need any typing work done. This can be a surprisingly effective way to get work as you are not competing with lots of other people providing typing services and it is more of a personal approach which people always prefer.
Most people visiting this site will probably be looking for a traditional job where they are the employee for a single employer. This route requires you to apply for vacancies, there are numerous job listing sites on the web but not many list jobs that you can do from home. Home working recruitment sites are specialist sites that list vacancies where the job can be done at home. The type of work advertised varies greatly and includes typing based jobs but as with any online job listing always do your research and never hand over any money if you are applying for a job.
