This page is going to cover envelope stuffing because people are continually falling for what is now a decades old scam. Read this to make sure you are not going to waste your time and end up getting scammed.
Work from home envelope stuffing adverts always seem to be appearing on the free ad sites across the internet and in local shop windows. At times when they know people need more money such as coming up to Christmas or coming up to the holiday season more of these adverts appear.
Researching for this article it didn't take me long to find one such ad so I will use it as an example and guide you through. Now at this point I will state that any envelope stuffing or similar job is a scam. You will not earn any money from it and you will lose whatever money that you have sent to them.
It starts of with an online ad that can be posted for free by anyone and is totally anonymous. It states that they are looking for people in the UK to stuff envelopes for their clients.
They state that it is an easy way for you to earn money, anyone can do it and it is a great way for single mums to earn some extra cash. It then goes on to claim that you will earn £2 for each envelope you stuff.
At this point your alarm bells should be ringing. How long does it take to stuff an envelope and how many could you do in an hour. You'd be rich right. That's exactly what they want you to think, that's how they draw you in.
Now just to be sure, we are talking about work from home envelope stuffing scams. Do not under any circumstances reply to these ads. Unless of course you want to lose your money.
So we follow the trail which leads to an anonymous website hosted on some free web space. This is the type of site that is untraceable and anyone can set up for free. Most people would not realise this but this rings bell number 2.
The site goes on to explain this is a job anyone can do with no skills or experience. They provide you with step by step instruction, because it's difficult to stuff envelopes right, that's why it pays so well.
Then comes the sale because there always is. They will send you 250 envelopes per week which you then stuff and return to them. For that they pay you £400. All you have to do is send them a tenner.
I hope you realise at this point exactly where you lose your money. But why stop there. There are also other options where you can send them up to £100 and make an absolute fortune.
Hopefully by now you realise anything to do with envelope stuffing is a scam. Companies do not pay you to stuff envelopes and they certainly do not ask for money up front.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of envelope stuffing goes on in the UK every year. It's not done by people but machines that can do hundreds of envelopes a minute and these companies charge their clients pennies per envelopes so why would someone pay you a hundred times as much to do the same thing.
Unfortunately there are far too many scams on the internet that promise to allow you to work from home doing various typing work. They all do however have one thing in common. They always ask for money up front and call it an administration fee, registration fee or deposit or some other similar term.
